Universal sizing

Pieces stated as having a universal fitting will fit all head sizes. Often the piece will have a wire claw/construction that will be hair coloured that will fit to your head like a hair band. The piece may also have an elastic band that sits at the back of your head underneath your hair to secure the piece in place. Alternatively the piece may be positioned on a hairband that will be a universal head size.

How to measure

Some pieces require you to send us your head size. Use a soft tape measure. Measure your head straight across your forehead just above your ears and over the most bulbous part of the back of your head. The full circumference is required.

Ordering

Some pieces will be made to order and you will see a delivery time in the product description. Please do call us to request a piece made sooner and we will aim to accommodate your needs. We do charge an extra 12% fee for the urgent service to cover extra expenses.

Please select the desired colour and your hair colour (this will affect the colour of the head fitting/hair band).

Delivery Times

UK

We ship using courier or Royal Mail Special Delivery (fully insured and to arrive, signed for in 24/48 hours). Best rate will be provided automatically at checkout.

EUROPE

For shipping to Europe please allow 10 days and see costings when ordering. Best rate will be provided automatically at checkout.

 

USA

For shipping to the USA please allow two weeks. Your parcel will be fully insured and once it leaves the Jane Taylor showroom the courier will take full responsibility for the package. Any claims for loss or damage to the shipment will be the responsibility of the client, we do not take any liability for this once they are collected by the courier. If you require your piece urgently please contact us regarding delivery times, tax and customs. Best rate will be provided automatically at checkout.

The Process

Your initial consultation of 30-40 minutes long will give us time to get to know you and discuss your requirements and for the perfect piece. Please do bring fabric swatches or the outfit to the appointment along with with your accessories. If you are a bride it can be useful to have images of your hairstyle so we can create the piece to work around your hair style.

We offer a bespoke dying service for our bespoke clients. If this is something you are interested in then please bring a fabric swatch or your outfit with you to discuss with our milliners or make an appointment to meet with Jane. Having a hat dyed to order will pull the whole look together, tying in your accessories, dress and coat for the perfect final touch.

If you are unable to come to the store please do post a fabric swatch to us and we can advise over email or phone to create something special for you and your outfit.

I HAVE A DISCOUNT CODE, WHERE DO I APPLY THIS TO MY ORDER?

When you view your basket, at bottom left there is a space to enter your code. Click ‘Apply coupon’ and the price will automatically adjust. If you are applying a code for free shipping, please note that this discount will show at a later stage when you select your shipping option.

You can search for a specific item in the website by using the search bar found in the expanding menu at the top right corner of each web page.

We try to stock everything online that we hold in our stores. However, if there’s something you can’t find, please email info@janetaylorlondon.com and we’ll try to make it available for you.

THE PIECE I WANT IS NOT AVAILABLE – WILL THERE BE MORE COMING IN STOCK?

Please email info@janetaylorlondon.com with the product name, colour and size that you are looking for and we will do our best to try and locate it for you elsewhere in our business.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED MY ORDER?

You will receive an order confirmation by email when we have received your order.

I PLACED AN ORDER BUT DID NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION.

DO YOU OFFER SAME DAY DELIVERY IN LONDON?

DO YOU DELIVER ON SATURDAYS?

Unfortunately at the moment it is not possible to deliver on Saturdays.

DO I NEED TO SIGN FOR MY ORDER?

Yes, you do need to sign for your order. If you’re not home when the package is delivered the courier company will contact you directly to arrange for re-delivery at an appropriate time

HOW MUCH DUTY AND TAX DO I NEED TO PAY?

You don’t need to pay any duties and tax when purchasing with us, we pay that on our end.

WHY ARE delivery RESTRICTIONS APPLIED TO SOME ITEMS?

Some countries have their own import restrictions on certain items such and furs and skins, which we must abide by.

HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

You will receive a separate email from DHL who will provide you with a tracking number for your order.

IN WHAT PACKAGING WILL BE GOODS BE DELIVERED?

You will receive your items folded in tissue paper. This is then place in an jane Taylor hat box and shipped inside protective cardboard box. For acsessories they will be wraped in tissue inaside a Jane taylor bag and inside a protective card box
